Hungarian Chicken Paprikash, known as Paprikás Csirke, is one of Hungary’s most beloved comfort foods. Tender chicken is slowly cooked in a rich paprika-infused sauce made with onions, tomatoes, and sour cream, then served with soft homemade dumplings called Nokedli.
The secret to this dish is simple: good-quality Hungarian paprika, plenty of onions, and gentle cooking. The result is a creamy, savory sauce that coats every piece of chicken and makes the dumplings absolutely irresistible.
