Galuska – Traditional Hungarian Dumplings

Galuska, also known as nokedli, is one of Hungary’s most beloved homemade dumplings. These small, soft, irregularly shaped dumplings are made from a simple egg-and-flour dough and cooked briefly in boiling water.

They are especially famous as the traditional accompaniment to Hungarian Chicken Paprikash, where the tender dumplings soak up the rich paprika and sour cream sauce. Simple, inexpensive, and comforting, Galuska is a wonderful example of classic Hungarian home cooking.
